FAQ

Fair questions

Anything else? Email team@getinlay.com — you’ll get an answer from a human who’s hung drywall.

How long does installation really take?
One script tag, pasted where you want the estimator to appear. The median contractor goes from signup to a live widget in 9 minutes. We have step-by-step guides for WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow; on a custom site, paste the snippet before the closing </body> tag.
Will it work on my website?
If your site can embed HTML — and every major builder can — Inlay works. The widget matches your page width automatically and looks right on phones, where most homeowners will use it.
Which lenders do estimates go to?
Home-equity estimates route to Figure and our other financing partners; pay-later options route to point-of-sale lenders. Routing considers project size, credit tier, and product type, so homeowners land with a lender likely to approve them. If you already have a dealer or lender relationship, add it as a custom program and we’ll route to it first.
Who do the follow-up emails come from?
Your business name — never ours. Homeowners see “Acme Remodeling,” not “Inlay.” You can edit every message in the sequence, change the timing, or turn any touch off. Replies land in your dashboard and can forward to your inbox.
Is the estimate a real quote?
No, and that’s deliberate. The widget shows estimated ranges based on the homeowner’s inputs — not binding quotes and not offers of credit. Real rates come from the lender after an application. Showing honest ranges keeps you out of promises you can’t keep.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your billing page — there’s no contract and no cancellation fee. Your widget deactivates at the end of the billing period, and your lead data stays exportable for 90 days after that.
Will the price go up on me?
Not for you. Sign up at $19/month and you keep $19/month for as long as your account is active — even when the list price rises for new customers.
